Project 52- Week 11 and 12

I keep getting behind on my P52 postings, this time I had a good excuse though, so touched by all the love for the T family, thank you thank you!!

So week 11's theme was a line in a song...or even the whole song, I had an idea in mind but when I stumbled upon this I had to make it work, and I think it did. Love it.

week11

Here's the song I picked for this photo:

"Pain throws your heart to the ground
Love turns the whole thing around
Fear is a friend who's misunderstood
But i know the heart of life is good.
I know it's good."

John Mayer, Heart Of Life

Next we have week 12, the theme was everyday objects in an unusual way.

Here's my photo :)

week12

This is Kingsley, my little Boston Terrier (or terror ;)) I just felt like I wanted to include one of my beloved doggies this week, and I'm very happy with the outcome of this photo. I just love him, terror and all ;)

Thanks for looking, xoxo

Project 52- Week 10

SO out of my comfort zone (like any self portrait), I took this photo less than an hour before deadline... I actually "planned" on missing this one, but decided last minute that I had to do something. I took 100+ photos of myself just being silly, I'm so uncomfortable in front of the camera it ain't funny (love being behind it though ;)) And after lots and lots of deliberation this is the photo I ended up submitting, and I have to say, I actually like this one! And that's a first I think since my wedding photos almost 10 years ago :O!!!

out of my comfort zone

Next weeks assignment is very exciting, and I'm not going to tell, you have to come back and see for yourself :)

Project 52- Week 9

So I totally missed week 8, snow and travels put a crutch in that one (not a good excuse, I know) but I did manage to get ine in for week 9: Street Photography.

Brought the family down to downtown Portland and snapped a few photos. I.LOVE.P-TOWN!

Photobucket

This was my submission, I hard a hard time choosing between the one below and this one, but decided that this was more 'street'.

I do love this one though, funny sign that I didn't even notice until I took the picture!
Now on to next week, another selfie, ugh... not my favorite, but oh well ;)

If you're in the NW area looking to get some photos done, shoot me an email! I'm still working on my portfolio and I have some awesome deals going right now (for a VERY limited time). Hope to hear from you!

Project 52- Week 5, 6 and 7

So I'm a little behind on my P52 posts, there has been 3 week assignments since my last post. First we had a self portrait showing something that defines you or is very important to you. A picture with my precious camera fit the bill ;) No other person but yourself was allowed in the photo.
Next week we had vehicles, I got quite a few cool ones, but finally settled on this Citroen that we saw driving down the freeway, love the color!
Finally this weeks assignment was something that represents broken, and I fell for the fence photo. Here are the photos :)

Well, next week should be interesting, our assignment is "from a Bug's perspective", sounds fun, but I have no ideas so far.

Project 52- Week 4

This weeks assignment was motion, and I had lots and lots of ideas. However, we all got sick here and that put a stop to my creativity :(
So I ended up submitting this photo:

Motion

I love how my son has his head tilted back, taking it all in. Next week is another selfie assignment, showing something important about/to you. I have a few ideas, we'll see what I come up with :)

Project 52- Week 1, 2, and 3

So this year I decided to join a project 52, one photo a week to stretch my creativity and push me outside of my comfort zone. I thought about doing a 365 project, but I think this is a little more doable ;)

Well, here are my first 3 submissions, the first week our assignment was self portraits and this is what I came up with.

Photobucket

Our week 2 assignment was Black and White Images that show something that 'defines' you in some way...but does NOT include any people.  I decided to submit one of my dogs,  Zeus. I LOVE dogs :)

Photobucket

Week 3 was a little tricky for me, the assignment was to photograph a TOTAL stranger. Really out of my comfort zone, but two hours before deadline I snapped this photo.

Photobucket

Our week 4 assignment is motion, and I already have an idea... come back Monday for more on that :)
You can check out the other photographers submissions here if you'd like.

XOXO
