Warm Summer Nights {Ahwatukee AZ Family Photographer}

Ah! Busy season is officially here and my blog is suffering. Again ;) I met with Lauren and her family late September for a fun and energetic session, I know Lauren from my local MOPS group and was absolutely thrilled when she asked me to capture this time in their lives. Her boys are absolutely adorable and so well behaved even though they would rather go explore the desert instead of sitting still for photos, such good sports :)

18 days new {Phoenix, AZ Newborn Photographer}

Even though she was a little bit older than most of my newborns, sweet baby Reagan slept like a champ during her session :) I absolutely loved her squishy lips and all that dark beautiful hair!










Working with newborns and capturing these first few weeks of life is such an honor to me, and I so appreciate each and every one of these sessions!

The Petterson kids {Ahwatukee and Sweden Family Photographer}

These kids were so fun to work with, not only because they could not stop laughing, but also because the girls look SO much like their mom, and since I grew up with her I kept getting flashbacks from our childhood! Absolutely crazy! These photos were taken in one of their horse pastures, I got so spoiled with all the beautiful locations while in Sweden, and all in clients' backyards!


A few days later I went back to get photos of her biggest baby, Abe ;) Abe is a gorgeous Friesian horse from the Netherlands, and is a perfect fit for my friend, strong and bold, just like her. We had been waiting for a dramatic evening sky for this shoot and lucked out with a tiny window of time, and I do believe this was the last nice evening of our trip, so glad we got to capture it!

Butter flowers? {Sweden Child Photography}

The title got you stumped? Yeah, me too a little, so these yellow flowers are called smörblommor in Swedish and the direct translation is butter flowers, they are everywhere late spring/early summer which was so nice for sessions. I met with this family about midway through my trip and absolutely loved these kids! We did get rained on for most of the outdoor photos, but that didn't damper their spirits ;) They also have a beautiful pony, and of course we had to get a few photos with her as well :)

warm summer nights {Ahwatukee AZ Newborn Photographer}

I was so excited when this little guy's parents took me up on the suggestion to move our newborn session outdoors. Summers in Phoenix are hot and not a great time for traditional portraits, but perfect for heat loving babies. And I think he agreed ;) He slept like a champ the entire time and spoiled us with his sweet sleepy smiles. Us adults were pretty hot, but I think we all felt it was worth it in the end ;)

Definitely one of my favorite newborn sessions!

Mr. William {Sweden and Phoenix AZ Child Photographer}

Another Sweden session today, this guy was absolutely awesome, with so many cute and hilarious expressions! I love photographing babies this age, even though it can be a roller-coaster at times ;) We did run out of smiles and giggles at one point, but once he was able to show off his new standing skills we quickly went back to being happy again ;)

Summernights {Sweden and Phoenix AZ Family Photographer}

This gorgeous family was so fun to work with, and their little girl is as busy as they come! I can't remember the last time I ran around so much during a single child session ;) That's ok though, as adorable as she was it was well worth the cardio :)

Blogging these Sweden sessions makes me miss the cool summer-nights so much, maybe not the mosquitoes, but the smells, sounds, and cool air was so refreshing and I can't wait to return!

Aah, nothing sweeter than spending time with your cousins in the summertime. This adorable set of cousins had a blast during our session, might be because of all the silliness going on behind the camera, but I'll never tell ;)

Emil & Maja {Sweden and Phoenix AZ Children Photographer}

Next on my Sweden blogging list is Emil and Maja. I met these two cuties in their home on a sunny afternoon, we had such luck with the Swedish weather this time around, it can be really unpredictable and rainy but I have to say that we had more sun than rain this time which was very appreciated!

Growing up knowing both parents, it was so fun to photograph their little mini me's ;)

Cousins! {Phoenix, AZ and Sweden Photographer}

I am finally back in the heat of AZ and ready to start sharing all the photos from my time in Sweden. I am absolutely blown away by all the positive feedback and sessions from my time there, and I loved meeting and photographing some of the friends I grew up with. These cute little cousins were my first official Swedish clients, we had such a fun session in their home and backyard, and they were such troopers.

5 days new {ahwatukee AZ newborn photographer}

Sweet little Adeline, one of the most precious little girls I have ever had the privilege to photograph, and she definitely takes the price for most hair so far ;) I got to meet her when she was only 12 hours old for a quick fresh 48 session, and then again in the comfort of her home for her official newborn session. At 5 days old, she slept like a dream and even gave us a few smiles.
Her mama is kinda gorgeous too ;)

Sweet little M {Scottsdale, AZ Newborn Photographer}

I had the privilege of meeting and taking photos of this precious girl a few weeks ago. She was so sweet, and very alert in the beginning, however she did decide to take a nap towards the end of my stay ;) Her parents are so in love with their little girl and I just loved documenting this precious time in their lives.
